Kagire, 32, has been raising up to 23 thousand US dollars, with plans to go to India for the treatment “as soon as possible.” He had also committed to starting a cancer-awareness initiative as soon as he recovers.

Proceeds and contributions from all fundraising drives will go towards that initiative, he announced on Twitter.
