Stromae On Coming Back To Rwanda: Special, Really Deep, Important

30-year-old singer, rapper and songwriter of Belgian-Rwandan origin will be in Kigali for a full concert on Saturday, 20 June 2015 at the Amahoro stadium.

Speaking to Al Jazeera‘s reporter Christof Putzel, Stromae spoke about how much coming back to Rwanda means to him and why he’s looking forward to it.

Being there again, it’s going to be special I guess. It’s going to be really deep, really important, I think. Because it’s my origin. I’ll meet my family; family that I’ve never met and family that I’ve met once or twice. I can imagine it’s going to be a lot of feelings, emotions – [to] discover again my country.
