Sunday night offers many reflective moments. Not just because it’s generally quiet, but also because it marks the end of the series. Most probably so.

Several years ago, one of my favourite singers did a cover album of hits from the Motown era; which included Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay,” and that’s when the song caught my attention for sure. (Of course, I had listened to the original song before.)

There is a song, there are lyrics, there are vocals, and there is the artist, and so on. But don’t care so much about the meaning of the lyrics, at least for now. Just dive into the melody. This is a beautiful song; so great that you’ll have to put it on replay for a couple of times before you move on. Blow. Enjoy.
