Ideas, Stories, and Profiles

Warm wishes for the new year.

As you reflect on the past year and set your goals for this year, my wish for you is that this new year brings you ease, joy, and love. Talking about love, today I want to share some profound lessons on love I got from my parents. I am the first daughter and the second born in six. I remember growing up in a full house at all times because our family has been home to a lot of people over the years. Dare I say that it is common for African households to be the village that it takes to raise a child.

We have all heard the adage that actions speak louder than words. While powerful, actions alone can sometimes leave room for interpretation. It is the words that demystify the actions and reveal the true intentions.
