Our Past Initiative organises intergenerational events during the commemoration week of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. Its core work is to bridge a generational gap by bringing together young people and elder Rwandans to share stories, strengthen memory, and help younger Rwandans connect with their roots. The organisation uses cultural forms such as dance, theatre, poetry, and drama to reach thousands of young people each year with learning about Rwanda’s history and positive citizenship.
