There was a joke around town a few weeks ago — that even sex workers have raised their prices. Rightly so. Global inflation has been rising, and economists are talking of a possible global recession. While food prices are skyrocketing, Rwandan leaders — including those at the central bank — are using a calming tone, saying the financial sector is to continue being “sound and stable.”  But projections show inflation — even around the world — is also expected to keep rising throughout the year. Experts say this is mainly due to higher international oil and food prices.
