Sunday Night Music: Chacha Imfurikeye's Intashyo

We first noticed Chacha Imfurikeye a few weeks ago, and she has stayed with us since. Intashyo is calm, measured, and quietly confident. It doesn’t push. It draws you in.

The song comes from her extended play (EP) of the same name and works as a clear introduction to her music. Born Chartine Imfurikeye, the twenty-five-year-old singer-songwriter trained at the Nyundo School of Arts and Music. That training shows in the restraint and control of her sound and creation; certainly why she is likely to stand out in the months and years to come.
