Impact Hub Kigali hosted a Social Enterprise happy hour Thursday night on the rooftop of The Office in Kiyovu, to announce its upcoming opening early next month.  The networking event, attended by Kigali’s top social entrepreneurs and organisations, featured  presentations and discussions on emerging opportunities.

The event also featured a keynote speech by Randall Kempner, Chief Executive Director of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, who spoke about the importance of collaboration to drive positive social change through entrepreneurship around the world.

Impact Hub Kigali is the newest addition to the global Impact Hub network of 76 local innovation labs, business incubators and social enterprise community centres, and, according to its founders, it will integrate Kigali’s social enterprise community with the global network of over 10,000 innovators.

Impact Hub Kigali is the second space to open in Africa. It officially opens doors on 3 August 2015, providing office space, event space and facilitating connections for entrepreneurs.
